Twitter and Elon Musk Full Story
Collected By Jeff Young on 04-27-2022 at 08:56 AM

Sometime back, a Stanford adjunct professor and friend, Fred Gibbons, clued me into Elon Musk. Gibbons, an old Silicon Valley maven who knew the ropes, said, “No matter what anyone thinks, Elon Musk is the real deal.” I knew what he meant by that since I was schooled by the valley BS and its legions of phonies and posers.

Stealing from the Rich Today Full Story

Has anyone asked what legal or moral authority any Western government has to take the property (e.g. houses and yachts) of various Russian “oligarchs”? This is done under the guise of “sanctions” against Russia. Is any due process involved besides the whims of a bureaucrat? If so, what exactly is this due process? Confiscatory measures against anyone from Canadian truckers to rich Russians are a threat to everyone.

The Attack on Facebook Redux Full Story
Collected By Jeff Young on 10-23-2021 at 07:49 AM

If you want to understand the sudden attack on, and panic over, Facebook and its effects on teen girls, look at the basics. In other words, follow the money. Traditional media is losing the advertising battle to Facebook.

The mainstream media, especially the large corporate entities, are losing billions (yes, billions) of advertising revenue to Facebook. And they don’t like it.

It’s the traditional media that is on the attack with a supposed whistleblower (who has the earmarks of an intelligence asset), though she is a supposed former "product manager." This whistleblower copied a slew of internal documents (who does this?) that showed Facebook choosing its own interests and the interests of its shareholders over some vague “public interest.” This is a joke, right?

The powers in control of the public trust, including the mainstream media combined with Facebook and Twitter, are all complaining about Covid misinformation. Rules for Radicals Redux Full Story

For some reason, having never seen Alinsky and ignoring these sorts of complaints about his strategies, I figured he was some sort of Abby Hoffman—a disheveled dingbat, a nutter.

That was until I saw him on an old re-aired Dick Cavett Show from July 22, 1971. I was astonished. He was very conservative looking, and quite serious with a slight pomposity bordering on arrogance.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —Thursday, the Turf Club and highway 30 are hosting Sam Riggs for the first of two pop-up shows.

The secret to a successful wine pairing? Fats have an affinity for tannins
Collected By Administrator One on 03-23-2021 at 07:21 AM

Wine aficionados know that a well-paired wine enhances the flavors of whatever foods one consumes, while a poorly paired wine does the opposite. And some foods can, in turn, influence the flavors in a wine. Is there any better accompaniment to one's favorite cheeses and/or cured meats than a good bottle of Bordeaux or a California Cabernet? A team of French scientists specifically explored the role of interactions between the tannins in wine and fatty molecules known as lipids in foods to better understand what is happening at the molecular level with such complementary pairings, according to a recent paper published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
