Last summer, the Boise Hawks were able to stretch their season well into mid-September. They're excited to welcome fans back to Memorial stadium to do it all over again! 

2021 was the Boise Hawks' first season in the Pioneer Baseball League and they certainly made an impression! The team became the Southern Division Championships and battled the Missoula PaddleHeads in the league championships series. They game up short, but are excited for the new season to start and try to get back to the championship!

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A global development company says it wants to build a new arena and entertainment district as part of a multi-billion dollar project south of the Las Vegas Strip.

On Wednesday, Oak View Group announced that it has acquired 25 acres in Las Vegas, and according to a press release, the property is located on 66.5 acres of land near Interstate 15 and the 215.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Twin Falls City Council unanimously approved a $400,000 minimum revenue agreement with Skywest Airlines.

The agreement was made jointly between Twin Falls city and county in order to help alleviate any financial losses for the airline, which is struggling with pilot shortages. If the airline’s revenue covers the cost quarterly, then there is no payment required to the airline.

In accordance with the agreement, Skywest will provide a once-daily non-stop Delta flight from Twin Falls to Salt Lake City. They will also prioritize an early morning flight to Salt Lake City and an evening Twin Falls arrival when resources allow.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The construction of the new building in downtown Twin Falls is a Galena Opportunity Fund project. It will have 44 residential units for rent as well as 14,000 square feet of commercial space.

“When we are seeing buildings like this go up, it’s so exciting for us as a community, us as a Chamber of Commerce, because we’re doing something right in Twin Falls,” said JJ Shawver with the Twin Falls Chamber of Commerce.

ALBION — During a visit to the quiet mountain town of Albion, former mixed martial arts fighter Nick McNabb decided it was the perfect place to open an authentic Italian pizza and pasta restaurant.

One Punch Pizza, 248 W. N St., is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday through Sunday with dine in or carry out.

“It is delicious. It’s the best I’ve had since we moved in June to Rupert from Utah,” said Wesley Dalton, who does marketing for the restaurant.

East-end McDonald’s closing for remodel, removal of 'Playplace' Full Story

ELKO — The McDonald’s at 1995 Idaho St. will be closing temporarily after March 31 for a complete remodel, according to Kassity Management Group Director of Operations Jess McIntosh.

The group is located in Carson City.

McIntosh said the building is one of McDonald’s oldest in the western United States.

“Playland will be going away,” McIntosh said. “The last two years our Playlands have been closed anyway due to Covid procedures.”

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Idaho Transportation Department will begin road work next week on two US-93 pavement rehabilitation projects in Twin Falls.

The resurfacing projects will begin on March 21. The road work will be on Pole Line Road from Grandview Drive to Blue Lakes Boulevard for road maintenance.
